Job Title: Business Analysis – Business Analyst (Expert)

Bill Rate: $80 – Hourly

Position Purpose:

The Expert Business Analyst will lead and conduct functional business reviews with stakeholders, document business requirements, analyze issues and present and recommend business solutions that meet sponsor/stakeholder needs. Significant independent judgment required with little or no management direction provided. May lead or coach proficient level business analysts. The Expert Business Analyst creates timelines and takes full accountability for project deliverables. Project scope will include large projects/programs, multiple stakeholders, utilizing multiple technologies and/or 3rd parties.

Key Accountabilities:

Provide leadership and guidance to team members participating in assigned projects

– Manage project documentation (implementation plan, issues log, process maps, reports, FTE analysis, etc.) and monitor results of process design deliverables and project completion

– Benchmark processes and assess the required complement to handle / manage workload

– Monitor and resolve emerging issues at the implementation stage of the project

– May act as SME for the IT team during development of system specs

– Seeks input from the business by facilitating sessions

– Participates in post implementation review, provides post implementation support and act as the escalation point for any process issue

– Design and develop strategic training plan associated with introduction of new or enhanced business processes

– Develop and maintain strong relationship with business partners and internal/external team members

– Actively participates as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the business requirements gathering process Knowledge and Experience:

– Bachelors Degree. Specialization in Business, Finance, Engineering, Math or Science desirable. Business Analyst designation is an asset

– 7+ years business analyst experience

– Experience in identifying and assessing key business processes

– Demonstrated performance excellence with a track record of success on large global projects

– Experience in all facets of project lifecycle; strong comprehension of project management methodologies; genuine commitment to project environment and discipline

– Experience in financial services – would be an asset

– Experience in Information Technology field – would be an asset Skills and Competencies:

Client is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to support a Market Risk project. They will create, refine, and document business requirements provided by front office trading team. The requirements will define the operation of front office risk reporting application, used for normal trading activities. This BA will also interface to Sr. Executives to understand overall expectations in risk reporting areas. They will be responsible to lead a small team for day-to-day technical management and act as a buffer to Director.

Required:

– 5+ years as a Business Analyst

– Team lead experience for a technical group

– Visualization tools (Tableau preferred)

– Market Risk experience (interest rate derivatives preferred)

– Fixed Income experience (working knowledge of financial products)
