Salary: 120 to 150k base plus bonus

JOB SUMMARY:

Manage multiple large scale projects for Capital Markets Enterprise Transformation (focus on derivatives and derivatives regulatory reform: Volker Rules, Dodd Frank etc). T
he ideal candidate will have product knowledge spanning Equities, FX and Fixed Income derivatives ideally, strong project management experience (large projects ranging from $3-10 million+ ideally), above average communication skills.
Direct and integrate the work of other PMs, communicate regular project status to Sponsors and project teams and ensure projects are completed on time and that they meet the defined requirements and budgets.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

Work with internal and external resources, as well as business unit members to scope, define, analyse, estimate and oversee a variety of large scale projects (including infrastructure, data, systems and processes) from start to finish.
Mentor other Project Managers, each responsible for an element of the project or other related projects.
Use and recommend enhancements to existing Best Practice Guides, Templates, and system methodologies.
Develop, monitor and execute project plans and coordinate timely execution of major milestones, approvals, sign-offs and implementation.
Manage priorities and issues where conflicts arise; mediate and resolve project team conflicts.
Regularly report progress of project status, milestones, achievements and budgetary standing in both formal (steering committee) and informal settings.
Work with vendors and suppliers to procure equipment and technology.
Present project objectives to the appropriate approval committee.
Determine project roles and responsibilities; allocate resources; manage assigned resources to ensure projects are completed on time; ensure resources are used effectively.
Proactively manage project issues including analysis, assessment, and appropriate escalation.
Provide regular risk assessments.
Administer project modification/change control; obtain estimates of duration and price for changes to be approved by the steering committee responsible for the project.
Develop Service Level Agreements.
Be able to recommend project shut down procedures.
Coordinate release of deliverables to customer.
Facilitate and document the results of the post implementation reviews.
QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s Degree
A minimum of 5 years success as a project manager, with proven project and people management skills.
High level of knowledge and experience in managing projects in the areas of securities and capital markets.
Strong knowledge of derivative products and related forms and regulations..
Experience managing multiple, high-visibility projects.
Strong Project Management skills, including managing project scope, time, cost and quality.
High level of general management skills, including leading, negotiating, communicating and team building.
Good understanding of IT, including lifecycle planning, estimating and architecture
Fully proficient in use of Word, Excel, Outlook, MS Project, Visio and other PM tools.
Highly organized, with strong customer service, interpersonal and analytical skills.
PMP designation preferred.
Creative problem solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, detail oriented environment.
Comfortable dealing with and making presentations to Executive, “C” Levels, Trading heads and front office.
